Representative Earl "Buddy" Carter needs to resign—or be replaced. His biggest recent "accomplishment" in Congress? A cringeworthy attempt to rename Greenland "Red, White, and Blueland."
Meanwhile, his wealth has soared to over $66.5 million—much of it from Big Pharma, the same industry fueling the opioid crisis. They keep pouring money into his campaigns, even when he doesn’t bother to campaign.
While hardworking Americans struggle, Carter stands by as convicted felon Donald Trump and billionaire Elon Musk gut VA benefits, Social Security, and Medicaid to fund tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy.
Is Carter complicit because he’s one of them? He sure doesn’t represent me.
Now, he refuses to meet constituents face-to-face, hiding behind "telephone town halls." What is he afraid of? Accountability? He clings to office only because Georgia’s 1st District is gerrymandered to silence Chatham County’s progressive voters.
Meanwhile, Trump and Musk dismantle our government, enrich billionaires, and cozy up to dictators like Putin. Have you paid into Social Security? I have.
Will Trump, Musk, or Carter ever need it? Doubtful. But they’re determined to take it from those who do.
Veterans in District 1 put their lives on the line for this country. Carter is letting their benefits be gutted. Shame on him.
Buddy Carter, it’s time to resign—or prepare to be voted out.
