Train Rides at the Georgia State Railroad Museum
Looking for fun things to do with the family in town? Ride a train at the Georgia State Railroad Museum with interactive experiences including a working handcar, walking through historic railcars, and taking guided tours. The site features the oldest railroad repair facility buildings in the United States. These buildings, locomotives, and railcars tell the stories of site workers from over 100 years of the complex’s operation. Topics explored on tours and exhibits include railroad and technological history, industrial slavery, and segregation. Train rides through December 30. Holiday Traditions and Experiences of the Enslaved Community
Take a special evening tour focused on the often overlooked “Holiday Traditions and Experiences of the Enslaved Community”.
