Artist Reception for Tamara Garvey and Katie Glusica with Musicians Marc Chesanow and Eric Jones from the Eric Jones Trio

Join artists Tamara Garvey and Katie Glusica for their reception for their latest work surrounding the birch tree, in an homage to autumn. Birches symbolize many positive aspects to various cultures around the world, including rebirth, new beginnings, growth, hope, and well-being. Light refreshments will be served and musicians The Eric Jones Trio’s Marc Chesanow and Eric Jones will provide the musical entertainment. Magic Wheelism November- Magic School for Grown Ups 

Wanna get more into honoring your inner child? Join Eoley and Dusty for their inner child workshops the following wednesdays in November- 13, 27. This first workshop is called “The Death Card: Throwing Ourselves A Funeral”. Free. 7-9 p.m. The Magical World of Toys. 1602 Waters Ave. 

Wurlizer Wednesdays: Free Theatre Tours and Organ Performance 

There’s nothing like the sound of an organ, it feels so beautifully Southern gothic. Visit Savannah's most historic movie palace for a theater tour and demonstration of its original 1925 Wurlitzer theatre organ. In honor of the Mighty Wurlitzer's return to the Lucas Theatre for the Arts, visitors can explore the theater's storied past as they listen to the sounds of the organ and enjoy the SCAD-produced silent short film "At Long Last." Film Screening for Horror Film 'The Provider' 

If you didn’t catch enough films with the SCAD Savannah Film Festival, or just love a good cinema experience, check out the film screening of SCAD student film, The Provider by director Becca Newman, and producers Hannah Ballard and Rose Eckes at the SCAD Fall Showcase. Full Moon Hike Under the Beaver Moon 

Feeling moonstruck lately? Take a hike with Skidaway Island park guides during the full moon! Experience the trails as you’ve likely never seen them before. Advance registration is required. Spaces are limited; call the Visitor Center at (912) 598-2300 to reserve yours, $15 per person. Meet at the Visitor Center. Wear closed-toe shoes. Bring water, snacks, and insect spray. Bring a flashlight for safety, preferably red. 6:30 p.m. Skidaway Island State Park, 52 Diamond Causeway.

Wild Seed Plant Sale and Makers Market 

Have you decided to get really into gardening? Get your plant on with a plant sale featuring botanicals, medicinal herbs, and all kinds of flora and fauna, including produce from Farm Truck 912. The market will include local makers, artists, and sustainable goods. Forsyth Farmers Market 

Hit up the Forsyth Farmers Market for your local fresh produce and goods from rotating farms and vendors. Be prepared to see everyone you know and their mother-in-law. Get some flowers along the way. Year-round. Free. 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Forsyth Park.

The Stables Art and Music Festival 

Makers Market Savannah presents The Stables Art and Music Festival featuring local singer/songwriters Susanna Kennedy, Steven Baumgardner, Hollee Spring, Clara Waidley, Dustin Price, Itz *Nobi with DJ Prof the Wizard and Little Gracie. Vendors include artists and makers, pet adoption with One Love Rescue, food truck Okan Bluffton and Pourboy Coffee and more. Family friendly and free to the public. The Stables, 13 Rathbone Dr. 

Fix It Day with Film Biz Recycling 

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. But if it is broke and you do wanna fix it, join Film Biz Recycling for a Fix It Day at their warehouse. They invite the community to bring their repairable items, tinker and toy with broken possessions and get them working right again together. They have tables, chairs, a sewing machine and the like to get things in working order. Owner Samita Wolfe will bring a baked good to share and hopes to make this event ongoing. Free. 11 a.m.-3 p.m. 10 Dooley Ave. 

The Shalom Y’all Jewish Food Festival 

The Shalom Y’all Jewish Food Festival is back for another year. Enjoy Jewish dishes, live entertainment, and stock up on your favorite foods via pre order. More information on their website mickveisrael.org. 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Monterey Square, 4 W. Taylor St.

Cleo Fall Fundraiser 

Celebrate another year of Cleo the Project Space with their fall fundraiser! Join scissor wizard and artist Thomas Mizzell for a collage workshop, enjoy empanadas from Chef Victoria of Burning Magnolias, and enter a raffle for a chance to win gift certificates to Bar Julian, Sixby, Dreamhouse Studios, Savoy Society merchandise, and local artist merch.
